When does a door need to be replaced rather than just the lock or frame? +

Replacement is necessary when the door slab itself is cracked, split, warped to the point of not closing properly, or was kicked in so severely that the wood or steel is structurally compromised. A damaged slab cannot be made secure by repairing just the lock or strike plate.

Do you handle both the door and the lock hardware in one visit? +

Yes. After the door slab is in place we install and align the lock hardware, strike plate, and any deadbolt so everything functions correctly before we leave.

Can you replace just the door slab, or do you also replace the frame? +

We can replace the slab only when the frame and jamb are solid and square. If the frame was damaged in a kick-in or is rotted, frame repair or replacement is part of the job. We assess the frame condition at the start of every door call.
